The Labour Court did not recommend conceding any of three claims by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union against Bray Urban District Council. They concerned an eating-on-site allowance for 40 workers, the pay grade for a leak-detection worker and an upgrade claim for another employee. The Court said comparable rates for the leak-detection role had not been established. It rejected the upgrade claim in light of an earlier Rights Commissioner recommendation, while leaving the parties free to review the rate on other grounds. The recommendation was signed on 12 April 2000.
