The Labour Court did not recommend concession of a claim for lost night, Sunday and bank holiday premium payments by a nurse who worked at Ardamine, a holiday home and later community hostel attached to St Senan's Hospital. Its recommendation was dated 27 March 2000. The South Eastern Health Board - St Senan's Hospital and the Psychiatric Nurses' Association disputed whether premiums should have been paid while the nurse worked a week-on, week-off pattern. The Court said she chose the hostel work, could have returned to ward duty and gained community care experience. It noted her hours were longer but the work was lighter.
