In 2000, the Labour Court recommended that a worker seconded from Dublin Corporation remain in her National Youth Information Co-Ordinator post at Department Of Education & Science for the full seven-year secondment, unless alternative arrangements were agreed. The Court said she had a legitimate expectation that the terms of her secondment would be honoured.
The Court also recommended referral of her pay claim to conciliation if the recommendation was accepted and her position in the Department confirmed. Irish Municipal, Public And Civil Trade Union had alleged victimisation and humiliation, but those were arguments rather than findings in the recommendation. It was signed on 18 January 2000.
