The Labour Court found that a Services Industrial Professional Technical Union claim for a basic-pay increase at Chilton Electric breached Partnership 2000, and recommended immediate talks on revising the bonus scheme. The union also sought service pay and a review of the bonus scheme. The company opposed a pay increase but was willing to discuss a broad review of the bonus structure, which it said could take two to four months. The Court’s recommendation was signed on 26 November 1999.
