In 1999, the Labour Court recommended against a part-time care assistant’s constructive dismissal claim against Kylemore Nursing Home. The worker said he left after a breakdown in relations with the day-centre manager. The Court found the breakdown did not warrant the worker leaving before giving the Home an opportunity to address the issue. The recommendation was signed on 1 November 1999; the worker had agreed to be bound by it.
