In 1999, the Labour Court declined to recommend concession of a worker’s claim for compensation after Sligo Corporation changed its refuse collection system. The recommendation was dated 15 October 1999. The Court said compensation arising from the work changes had been comprehensively addressed in an agreement between the worker’s union and the Corporation, and recommended that the agreement’s terms be accepted.
