The Labour Court recommended that the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union raise its claim for an employee share option scheme with Cablelink Limited's new owners once they were identified and the two unions had agreed a joint approach. The recommendation was signed on 4 February 1999. The Court said the scheme's detailed arrangements were matters for agreement between the unions and the incoming owners. If no agreement was reached, the issue could be referred back to the Court.
