The Labour Court found the dismissal of a senior sales representative at Castle Transport And Marketing unfair and recommended that the company acknowledge she did no wrong and provide a suitable reference. The worker had been told her job was ending amid cutbacks, but was sent home a day before her stated last day and escorted from the premises after being accused of shredding confidential documents. The Court said the allegation that she destroyed important company documents was not substantiated. The company did not attend the hearing.
