Labour Court recommends Ardboyne Hotel reinstate housekeeper for 13 weeks

The Labour Court recommended that Ardboyne Hotel reinstate a housekeeper for a 13-week probationary period after a claim by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. The Court was not satisfied that the worker had dismissed herself, citing procedures that were not followed and no evidence of dissatisfaction with her work before April 1998. The hotel said she walked out on 15 April and was told to report to the manager before returning. The recommendation was dated 29 January 1999.
