In 1999, the Labour Court recommended that A.T. Glass pay a worker an additional £750 in full and final settlement of his redundancy claim. The recommendation was dated 21 January 1999. The company moved most manufacturing from Tallaght to Cork and offered staff jobs there. The worker declined offers of work in Cork and Dublin and sought redundancy. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union said he expected an agreed package and a larger payment than colleagues with less service. The company said he had received £950 and signed the payment form. The Court found he was entitled to expect more based on his additional service.
