The Labour Court recommended that Irish Country Meats - Rooskey and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union meet to discuss a suitable bonus scheme for packing-area employees. The union represented 35 workers and also sought to include standard bonus in pensionable pay. The Court did not find the pension scheme substantially out of line with comparable companies. It therefore made no recommendation to include standard bonus in pensionable pay. Its bonus recommendation was dated 20 October 1998.
