The Labour Court recommended that casual function staff at the West County Hotel, Ennis, be paid for each hour worked at no less than the rate set under the Hotels Industry Employment Regulation Order. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union had sought higher flat rates, while the hotel said its existing rates were in line with industry norms. The recommendation was signed on 25 September 1997.
