The Labour Court recommended that Wicklow County Council apply road overseer and ganger salary scales to eight supervisors and seven assistant supervisors on its FAS Community Employment Schemes. The recommendation was signed on 16 May 1997. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union had sought progression through the relevant scales. The recommended weekly rates ranged from £243.11 to £268.96 for supervisors and from £215.59 to £228.24 for assistant supervisors, effective from the date of the recommendation.
