In 1997, the Labour Court recommended against the Technical Supervisors' Committee's claim for changes to pay scales, overtime premiums and off-scale payments at Team Aer Lingus. The Committee sought higher and shorter pay scales, restoration of the overtime premium and an off-scale payment matching its earlier proposal. Team Aer Lingus said pay changes and approval payments could be handled as general pay claims and proposed time-and-a-third for extra hours. The Court found the company's response was not unreasonable. Its recommendation was signed on 18 February 1997.
