In 1997, the Labour Court found TSB Bank's £50 gross alarm/ATM allowance offer was not unreasonable, in a dispute with Mandate, the Amalgamated Transport and General Workers' Union, and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. The unions sought a higher allowance after the bank changed its payments to account for PAYE and PRSI deductions. They said they would recommend acceptance if TSB raised its offer to £60. The recommendation was signed on 4 February 1997.
