In 1997, the Labour Court recommended that four dressers receive three days' pay each after a dispute over hiring procedures at Point Theatre. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union said the workers lost opportunities because an incoming production did not follow agreed recruitment rules. The Court found Point Theatre management responsible for ensuring visiting organisations followed those rules. Its recommendation, dated 27 January 1997, called for three days' pay for each dresser in full and final settlement.
