In 1996, the Labour Court found that Semperit Ireland Limited had honoured its agreement with Services Industrial Professional Technical Union over a former worker’s voluntary redundancy package. The recommendation was dated 31 October 1996. The union said the worker received £25,480.11 and a further £200, less than the promised £26,400 net. Semperit said the package totalled £26,278, including payments to the worker’s pension fund. The Court was satisfied the company had honoured the agreement.
