The Labour Court revised its recommendation in a dispute between Aer Lingus and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union, recommending that the L1011 be crewed by 10 Aer Lingus cabin crew members from 1 September 1996. The revised recommendation was signed on 16 August 1996. The union had requested a further hearing, saying information provided earlier was inaccurate and misleading. The Court found the information was incorrect and had influenced its earlier recommendation to some extent. It accepted that the company had not intended to mislead the Court and had supplied the information on a genuine, though incorrect, basis.
