The Labour Court recommended that the Rehabilitation Institute continue a two-week annual close-down, with the timing of other leave agreed locally, and keep its existing Good Friday and June holiday arrangement. The recommendation, covering claims by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union, was signed on 2 August 1996. The Court also recommended one paid day each year for each of the ten National Committee members to attend a union meeting.
