The Labour Court recommended three Assistant Principal Officer posts at The Arts Council and backed the other staffing proposals agreed at conciliation. These included six additional Executive Assistant posts, redesignating Secretarial Assistant posts as Clerical Officer posts, and renewable fixed-term contracts for Higher Executive Officers. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union had sought upgrades for nine Higher Executive Officer posts. The recommendation also called for a staffing review 12 months after implementation and was signed on 13 March 1996.
