The Labour Court recommended that the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union accept the Dublin Dental Hospital Board’s offer on annual leave for about 35 dental nurses. The offer provided 21 days’ basic leave, rising to 22 days after three years, 23 after four and 24 after five years. The recommendation was signed on 28 February 1996. The union sought leave matching Dental Surgery Assistants in the Eastern Health Board, who had 24 days’ basic leave, rising to 26 days after five years. The Court said the 1990 agreement concerned pay and scales only.
