The Labour Court recommended that the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union accept an amended Blarney Woollen Mills proposal on rosters and a 3% pay adjustment. The company was to pay each claimant £150 as a lead-in payment. The recommendation was signed on 15 December 1995. The Court recommended changing the offer from 20 roster days to 15, with implementation in 1996 and the 3% adjustment payable from 1 January 1996. The union had argued that the proposed roster would reduce overtime earnings. The Court’s recommendation followed a further hearing on implementation of an earlier recommendation.
