In 1995, the Labour Court found that Ryanair had unfairly treated a ground handling agent and failed to follow its own disciplinary procedures. It recommended re-employment on three months' probation, with permanent employment to be considered at the end of that period. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union referred the worker's alleged unfair dismissal to the Court after Ryanair ended his employment in June 1995. Ryanair cited concerns about attendance and work performance. The recommendation was signed on 7 December 1995.
