In 1995, the Labour Court recommended that Noonan Cleaning Limited increase its one-off offer to an unnamed worker from £624 to £1,000, limit her cleaning duties as a chargehand and give her favourable consideration for a suitable future supervisory post. The recommendation was signed on 25 October 1995. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union represented the worker. The worker had been regraded from supervisor after the company secured a renewed cleaning contract, losing £12 a week and taking on cleaning duties. The Court considered the reduced pay and status alongside the added work unreasonable, noting that her supervisory responsibilities had changed little.
