The Labour Court recommended that eight temporary workers at the Rehabilitation Institute's Precision Workwear business in Navan move to a 39-hour week and receive £250 each. The recommendation was signed on 3 October 1995. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union sought compensation for the workers under an agreement concerning the move to a 39-hour week. The Institute said temporary staff were excluded from the agreement's lump-sum payment. The Court recommended the 39-hour arrangement and £250 for each claimant as a settlement.
