The Labour Court recommended that Irish Ferries and the Seamans Union Of Ireland confirm transfers already made and fill six vacancies on the Isle of Inishfree through further transfers or, if there were no applications, from the temporary list. It also recommended suitable rosters, a review of transfer and vacancy arrangements by 1 January 1996, and assistance from the Labour Relations Commission’s Advisory Service to improve industrial relations. The recommendation was signed on 18 August 1995.
