The Labour Court recommended that Maysteel Teoranta and the Amalgamated Transport And General Workers Union choose between two options for three evening-shift workers seeking an additional paid 30-minute break per shift. They could return to a five-day shift or continue the four-day shift with an extra 15 minutes accrued each week, on top of the existing hour. The Court’s recommendation was signed on 14 August 1995.
