In 1995, the Labour Court recommended that Power Supermarkets pay claimants £3,000 for disturbance and inconvenience during renovations at its Rathfarnham store. The sum was to be divided among them as they and Mandate agreed. The recommendation was signed on 1 August 1995. Mandate said workers faced noise, dust, smells, falling rubble and cables during building work carried out while the store traded. Power Supermarkets said it managed the work professionally, minimised disruption and kept the store open.
