In 1995, the Labour Court recommended that the Hospitaller Order Of St. John Of God reassure a worker about her job security if her current post ended, and that the employer and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union meet to address the situation. The recommendation was signed on 1 August 1995. The union said the worker had been transferred from the Personnel Department to a secretarial role despite an earlier undertaking and that her workload increased. The employer did not attend the hearing. The Court said the worker felt used and insecure and recommended a meeting to prevent the working relationship from deteriorating.
