The Labour Court recommended compensation for a doctor employed as a Senior House Officer by St. Francis Medical Centre, with the amount to be agreed after details of the claim were submitted to the employer. The Irish Medical Organisation’s claims concerned unpaid overtime and eight weeks of unused annual leave. The recommendation, signed on 19 July 1995, said the Centre’s letter indicated that some compensation was due, subject to verification. If the parties could not agree on an amount by 30 September 1995, the Court said it would make a further recommendation if asked. The employer did not attend the hearing.
