In 1995, the Labour Court did not recommend that Limerick Corporation concede IMPACT’s claim for extra payments to waterworks plant operators assigned additional duties. The recommendation was signed on 2 June 1995. The claim sought allowances for evening and night shifts, weekend sludge-plant operation and dirty money. The Court found the Corporation’s position was not unreasonable and did not recommend concession of the claim. It noted the Corporation was willing to pay certified dirty-money claims and recommended procedures to ensure prompt payment.
