The Labour Court did not recommend updating the fall-back allowance sought by the I.C.T.U. Group Of Unions for Bord Na Mona’s Autonomous Work Group leaders. It recommended that the parties meet to discuss merging the two guarantee systems. The recommendation was signed on 29 May 1995. The unions said the Autonomous Work Group guarantee had remained at £15,600 while the Autonomous Enterprise Unit guarantee rose from £11,600 to £13,481. Bord Na Mona said the existing arrangement reflected understandings with the unions; the Court considered the company’s evidence more compelling.
