In 1995, the Labour Court upheld the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union's position on use of operative grades in Team Aer Lingus's technical stores, calling the company's action ill-considered. On promotion structures in the AMA section, the Court said there was an overall gain for the union but criticized how posts were filled and urged consultation. On staffing numbers in business units, it considered the company's approach not unreasonable and urged dialogue. The recommendation also urged early placement of a proposed ombudsman. It was signed on 24 March 1995.
