In 1995, the Labour Court rejected the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union's claim for compensation for four quality assurance inspectors' lost overtime at Tech Industries Limited, finding it not well founded. It also did not recommend conceding the union's separate claim to consolidate an assistant supervisor's allowance into basic pay. The recommendation was signed on 9 March 1995. The union said the inspectors had lost overtime after the evening shift ended. The company said they continued to get overtime in other areas and that its figures showed no loss of overtime earnings. On the allowance claim, the Court did not recommend concession of the union's claim.
