In 1995, the Labour Court recommended that current pay arrangements remain in force at Europlast Teo and be reviewed in February 1996. The recommendation was signed on 7 March 1995. Europlast Teo, represented by the Irish Business and Employers Confederation, faced a claim from the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union for pay increases. The union cited workers' cost-reduction programmes and productivity gains. The company said it had made losses, faced the loss of two major customers and needed to protect jobs. The Court considered pursuit of the claim inopportune in light of the company's trading and financial constraints.
Labour Court recommends keeping Europlast Teo pay arrangements in place
