The Labour Court recommended weekly pay increases for workers at Meath Sheltered Workshop: £6 from 1 January 1993 and a further £4 from 1 January 1994. It also recommended appropriate placement on the incremental scale and applying national pay-agreement increases from their due dates. The recommendation was signed on 1 November 1994. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union had sought an improved pay scale and 25 days of annual leave for ten attendant workers. The Court’s recommendations addressed pay and related terms; they did not include a new annual-leave term.
