The Labour Court recommended pay parity for domestic staff at Cerebral Palsy Ireland’s Marino Clinic in Bray with similar employees at the organisation’s Sandymount branch. The recommendation was dated 4 August 1994 and set 1 July 1994 as the effective date for the increase. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union had sought Health Board rates. Cerebral Palsy Ireland cited financial constraints and said the Health Board would not provide additional funding. The Court said national wage agreement restrictions applied but recommended parity with Sandymount staff.
