The Labour Court recommended that the Amalgamated Transport And General Workers Union accept Tayto Limited's pension proposal for 14 office workers, applied retrospectively for five years and providing a 10-year non-contributory period. The recommendation was signed on 9 June 1994. The dispute followed an earlier recommendation that the parties discuss a scheme after office workers were excluded from a pension plan. Tayto said five years of retrospective cover would cost £108,000.
