The Labour Court recommended assurances on promotion prospects and local consideration of concerns about job suitability for 11 Bank Of Ireland workers displaced when its Custodial Services Department moved. The recommendation was signed on 30 May 1994. The Court also recommended that the Irish Bank Officials' Association accept the Bank's proposal to phase out the trust allowance for three workers, and that the workers receive a rationalisation bonus. The union had argued the new roles harmed workers' careers and sought retention of the allowance and a bonus.
