The Labour Court rejected Manufacturing Science Finance’s claim to retain extra attendance holidays for staff at Lapple Ireland Limited. The recommendation was signed on 9 May 1994. The scheme offered up to three extra days’ leave for perfect attendance and ended under a comprehensive agreement that also led to about 90 job losses. The company said the agreement was a package accepted by all unions; Manufacturing Science Finance said it had maintained its opposition to removing the holidays. The Court found no grounds to concede the claim.
