In 1994, the Labour Court recommended that Nestle Ireland Limited and Services Industrial Professional Technical Union accept the company's reorganisation proposals as amended by the Industrial Relations Officer, while retaining additional days' leave for pre-1986 workers on a red-circle basis. The dispute also covered redeployment, changed hours, salary scales and a claim under a 1991 rationalisation agreement. The Court considered the proposals and benefits well-balanced in light of the amendments. The recommendation was signed on 9 March 1994.
