Labour Court finds Rationel Windows worker was not unfairly dismissed

In 1993, the Labour Court found that a worker had not been unfairly dismissed by Rationel Windows after disputing a £22 tax deduction from his wages. The recommendation was dated 3 May 1993. The worker said he was dismissed after questioning the deduction. Rationel Windows said its tax method was company policy, confirmed by its auditors, and that his employment ended because he disagreed with its wage-payment policy. The Court found he had no right to reinstatement but recommended that the company consider re-employing him on goodwill grounds if a suitable vacancy arose.
