Labour Court recommends revised pay scales for three An Gaisce workers

In 1993, the Labour Court recommended revised salary scales for three workers at An Gaisce (Department of Education), while rejecting the higher scales sought by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. The Court recommended Assistant Secretary maximum scale for the Executive Director, PO maximum scale for the Director of Training, and Executive Officer scale with agreed extra duties for the Office Manageress. It also recommended that the two directors retain their company car arrangement and that the changes take effect from 1 December 1992. The Court said the workers had been treated unsatisfactorily but considered the union’s claimed salary levels unjustified after an MSU review.
