In 1993, the Labour Court rejected a worker's claim for further removal expenses from the Institute Of Public Administration (Ipa), finding an earlier agreement already included relocation money. The recommendation was dated 22 March 1993. The Irish Municipal, Public And Civil Trade Union argued removal expenses had been paid in the past and were expected when the worker accepted the permanent post. The Institute said its 1988 terms included a one-off £700 payment and that it had no formal removal-expenses scheme.
