In 1993, the Labour Court deferred further consideration of a worker’s claim for grading and salary parity with principals at Teagasc colleges, pending wider discussions on a claim for private agricultural and horticultural college principals. The worker was principal of the Irish Countrywomens Association’s College of Horticulture in Co. Louth. The Association said it could not fund an increase it could not recover from Teagasc. The Court said the worker could seek a review if the wider claim remained unresolved within a reasonable period. Its recommendation was signed on 22 March 1993.
