The Labour Court recommended that the Technical Engineering And Electrical Union accept Finsa Forest Products Limited’s proposal for overtime rates. The recommendation was signed on 12 January 1993. The union argued that shift overtime should be calculated using the consolidated rate, including the shift premium. The Court found the union had not established its claim under the 1984 agreement and recommended the consolidated rate for planned overtime and the basic rate for shift-cover.
