The Labour Court recommended that Conrad Nursing Home recognise the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union and negotiate pay and employment conditions for its members. The recommendation was signed on 24 August 1992. The union had sought recognition to represent six workers after management refused meetings to discuss pay and conditions. The Court also recommended that the union suspend its industrial action for a period and refer the dispute again to the Industrial Relations Commission. The nursing home was not represented at the hearing.
