The Labour Court found no grounds to recommend concession of the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s pay parity claim for six instructors at Toghermore Community Centre. The recommendation was signed on 20 November 1991. The union argued that the instructors’ training duties and responsibilities matched those of instructors in the Midland and Western Health Boards. The centre said its training had clinical and social aims and differed from the comparator programmes. The Court was not satisfied that the training was equivalent.
