In 1991, the Labour Court recommended a £140 weekly rate for the assistant caddymaster at Hermitage Golf Club, along with Sunday premiums for rostered staff and ordinary casuals. It rejected the claim for a premium for function casuals. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union had sought higher pay and Sunday or public holiday premiums. The recommendation raised the club's offer for the assistant caddymaster to £140 a week from 1 January 1991, with applicable pay agreement increases. Rostered staff were to receive £12 per week worked, adjusted under pay agreements, and ordinary casuals were to receive that amount pro rata to hours worked. The Court signed the recommendation on 8 April 1991.
