In 1990, the Labour Court recommended that Dunnes Stores (Letterkenny) transfer a worker back to clerical/reception work after a dispute over repeated moves from those duties to shop-floor sections. The worker had held a clerical position since 1978. The recommendation was signed on 3 April 1990. Services Industrial Professional Technical Union said the moves had upset the worker and affected her status, although they had not reduced her wages. The company made no submission. The hearing was held in Letterkenny on 7 March 1990.
